China Makes It Easier for Americans to Visit!

Many people have asked me whether there are visa-free deals for US citizens. As of now, there aren’t any, but we do have some good news!

In November 2023, China opened its doors to travelers from 6 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain , the Netherlands and Malaysia, allowing them to enter without a visa.

On 15 January, China also announced a visa-free deal for all the Swiss nations.

Although there are not similar treatment for US citizens yet, starting January 1, 2024, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates-General in the United States will simplify the application documents required for a tourist visa (L-visa). Tourist visa applicants within the United States will no longer need to submit a round-trip air ticket booking record, proof of hotel reservation, an itinerary, or an invitation letter.
