It's official! China and Singapore finally reach agreement on visa-free entry

30-Day Visa Free Entry For Singaporeans and Chinese!

It’s finally here! China’s state broadcaster, China Central Television (CCTV), announced today that citizens of China and Singapore will be able to visit each other’s countries without a visa for up to 30 days. This policy will take effect from 9 Feb 2024, coinciding with the Chinese New Year. Hooray!!🎉🎉🎉This visa-free entry period is longer than the 15-day period that China just granted for Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Switzerland, and Ireland.

This development follows weeks of planning. Last month, Singapore’s government revealed that the two nations were working on a reciprocal agreement. The announcement came during a high-level meeting in Tianjin, China, on 7 December. This meeting involved Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong and Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang.
