We're changing the game in the travel itinerary industry

Why have people lost trust in online travel itineraries and guides? Ever wondered why so many can afford to distribute their itineraries at low prices or even for free? Hereā€™s the scoop: itā€™s not their sales making them moneyā€”itā€™s sponsorships from the very places they recommend. Thatā€™s right, their profits arenā€™t from guide sales but from cozy sponsorship deals with hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. You end up going to mediocre or lame places only because they ā€˜sponsorā€™ the itinerary.

At China Insider, weā€™re taking a different road. We pledge to be the only travel experts in the market bold enough to promise zero sponsorships and zero paid promotions in our itineraries. When we recommend a place, itā€™s because it truly made us say ā€œwow,ā€ not because our wallets got a little heavier. Weā€™re here to offer you pure, unfiltered advice, keeping it real and ensuring your travel experiences are as authentic as they get. THEY CANā€™T BUY US!

How is our itinerary different from a travel guide book?

šŸ’”An ā€œitineraryā€ is a detailed plan of a trip, listing all the places to be visited and activities to be done, often including times and dates. It serves as a roadmap for travelers, helping them to navigate their trip efficiently and make the most of their time. In contrast, a travel guide provides descriptive information about tourist sites but may not include a structured schedule or detailed plan.

Ā

Made by China Insiders: Tons of itineraries you find online are created by people who have never lived in Beijing. Most travel bloggers have traveled to Beijing just once. If you have followed @chinainsider, you know we have been sharing our experience in China on Instagram for almost 10 years. We are not only Chinese locals but also a team of China travel experts who know what foreign travelers need. So our itinerary is how we crystallize our years of experience traveling in China, as insidersšŸ˜Ž

Well-designed routes: Most other itineraries only look at each tourist attraction but never really sort out the routes. We design the entire route that links all the dots, in the best way. Our itinerary includes a Google Map with our routes that you will have direct access to. We hate going back and forth, especially in a mega city like Beijing. So weā€™ve designed each dayā€™s route to flow in one direction, considering the scenery you will experience at different times of the day. That way, you have less time backtracking and more time experiencing. Youā€™ll see it from unique angles and hidden cornersšŸ›£ļø

Ā

The must-visit and the special spots: Of course, we will include the top tourist attractions like the Great Wall that you simply cannot skip when visiting Beijing. But we do not stop there. Remember we have Beijing locals making this itinerary too? We have included many very local and hidden spots that just canā€™t be found on Western social media. From a bookstore to a local teahouse, we think these spots will make your Beijing trip much betteršŸ¤«

The most accurate, updated, and relevant itinerary you can find: Due to the language barriers and different apps we use here in China, the information gap is huge. We see so much inaccurate, out-of-date, and false information online when it comes to travel planning in China. This bad info will definitely give an unpleasant surprise to your Beijing trip. We double-check the information in our itinerary with reliable sourcesāœ…

Who are we?

We are @chinainsider, a team of China locals, professional trip designers, and travel addicts. Since 2014, weā€™ve been sharing our passion and expertise in China travel. Our trip designers use the same methods for this itinerary as they do for custom travel groups, which typically cost $200-$600 per day. A 3-day custom itinerary would normally cost $600-$1800 (I know I know,Ā  itā€™s expensive). After creating hundreds of customized itineraries, we decided to develop a more general yet unique itinerary that most foreign travelers can benefit fromā€”at a very affordable price. And of course, it features our signature China Insider humor šŸ˜‰

Need customized trip planning for your China travel? We can arrange that too! For only $200 per day, our team of professional trip planners and seasoned China travel enthusiasts will craft an unforgettable experience tailored just for youšŸ‘‡
