China Adds Indonesia to 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit List!

Starting June 12, 2025, Indonesian citizens can transit through China without a visa and stay for up to 240 hours (10 days). This brings the total number of eligible countries to 55, including the UK and Russia.

Travelers must hold valid passports and confirmed onward tickets to a third country. They can enter through 60 ports in 24 provinces, including Beijing and Shanghai, and are allowed to engage in tourism, business, family visits, or cultural exchanges. Work, study, and media activities still require visas.

The policy aims to boost ties with Indonesia, promote travel and trade, and make it easier for foreigners to visit and live in China.
