China Welcomes Australians with Visa-Free Travel!

Exciting news for Australian travelers! China has announced that Australia will now be part of its visa waiver program. This means that Australians 🇦🇺 can soon travel to China without the need for a visa, similar to the privileges enjoyed by travelers from New Zealand and many European countries.

This unexpected development is particularly noteworthy because Australia, like New Zealand, is part of the Five Eyes alliance, an intelligence-sharing group that includes the US, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. They have never offered visa-free travel to Chinese citizens.

July 25, 2024 UPDATES: From July 1, 2024, to Dec. 31, 2025, citizens of Australia with ordinary passports will be allowed to enter and stay in China visa-free for up to 15 days for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit.
