Fuzhou airport to the city centre: metro, bus or taxi
Take the metro. The Binhai Express Line opened on 29 September 2025, and the fastest train runs from Airport Station to Fuzhou Railway Station in about 30 minutes for ¥17. It beats every other option on both price and speed — as long as you land between 6:00 and 22:30, when the line runs.
| Option | Cost | Journey time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binhai Express Line (metro) | ¥17 | ~30 min direct express, ~38 min big-stop, longer on stopping trains | Most arrivals |
| Airport bus (Yuanxiang) | ¥25 | 50–70 min depending on stop | Hotels near a bus stop; flights landing after 22:30 |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Reported ¥120–150 | About 45–50 min off-peak | Groups, heavy bags, late nights |
How the metro works
- The station is called Airport Station. Leave by Exit B and follow the covered walkway — one or two minutes — straight to Gate 12 of Terminal 1.
- Buy a single-journey ticket at the machines. You do not pay extra for the faster trains: the fare depends on the route, not the service. From Dongjiekou on Line 1, the full fare to the airport is also ¥17.
- Check which train you are on. Two direct expresses leave Fuzhou Railway Station daily, at 6:00 and 6:15, reaching the airport in about 30 minutes. Big-stop expresses run hourly from 7:00 to 22:00 and take about 38 minutes. All other trains stop everywhere, with a minimum headway of 7 minutes 30 seconds.
- Change onto other lines at Difengjiang (Lines 4 and 5), Dongmen (Line 4) and Fuzhou Railway Station (Line 1).
If you land after the trains stop
Services end at 22:30, so a flight landing at 23:00 leaves you with the bus or a car. Yuanxiang's airport express buses run to meet the last flights of the day; check the current timetable and pickup points in the Yuanxiang airport express miniprogram before you fly, since the late departures move with the schedule.
Buses and taxis
Yuanxiang's downtown airport line serves five stops: Yishan Meiyuan and Meifeng Hotel in Gulou, Jinyi Hotel and Suning Plaza in Taijiang, and Meiyuan International in Jin'an. The fare is ¥25, cut from ¥31 in September 2025. Allow about 50 minutes from Jinyi Hotel, Meiyuan International or Suning Plaza, about 60 from Yishan Meiyuan and about 70 from Meifeng Hotel.
Taxis cover the run to the Sanfang Qixiang and Dongjiekou area in about 45–50 minutes off-peak, and travel sites put the fare at ¥120–150. Use the official taxi rank outside arrivals or a ride-hailing app rather than accepting a ride from someone approaching you inside the terminal.
Continuing by train
Airport Station is on the same line as Fuzhou Railway Station, which puts the high-speed network to Xiamen, Quanzhou and Pingtan one transfer away. Book trains and flights on Trip.com
