Qingming Riverside Garden: the Kaifeng dance show topping Douyin
A 60-year-old woman in a village dance troupe went viral from inside 清明上河园 (Qingming Riverside Garden) in Kaifeng, performing choreography by 赵雨凡 under the tag "大宋舞王" — Song dynasty dance king. The clip sits with the joke that she is "at exactly the age to start causing trouble", a line about how the over-60s out-dance the young.
The park is built as a walk-through reconstruction of the Zhang Zeduan scroll Along the River During the Qingming Festival, which is why it draws street-performance acts and costumed crowds rather than rides. What the video actually shows is a village troupe performing to camera in the park, filmed by a visitor, not a scheduled stage show — so treat any appearance as a possibility, not a fixture of the day.
Kaifeng is roughly 30 minutes from Zhengzhou by high-speed rail, which makes it workable as a day trip. If you plan to stay rather than rush back the same evening, it is worth checking the fares and timetables before you lock in a hotel — compare all the main booking sites in one go.
